How long from the day the shot is injected to the time it is effective in the woman? This shot lasts for 3 months. This girl Im seeing just got it a couple days ago and shes been told different times. Since there are a lot of drug experts on here I thought I would post. Thanks

Does that mean it lasts for 3 months after the first month it takes to become effective? That means it would be 4 months from one shot till the next.

Some take the shots every three months, some every 6 months. It just maens that during the first month it will not be ve ry effective

Wait, did a google search about it on the net and this site says that if the shot is taken within 5 days of the normal menstrual cycle it is effective immediately. She did it this way and they did tell her it was effective within 24 hours, so..........???

My wife claims that it totally lowers her sex drive. So we stay away. I'm sure women are different in how they react to it, but I'd get her on the pill and avoid depro.
