Okay, does anybody know what the lifespan is on plain old silver fillings? And how do you know when they start to fail (other than chipping/cracking).
I only have 7 silver fillings in my mouth but five are well over 21 years old, and the other two could be over 30. For the past week or two I've had this constant metallic taste in my mouth, it's starting to drive me nuts. Tastes just like a penny or piece of aluminum foil. Nothing takes it away ... so I'm beginning to wonder if one/all of the fillings are giving up the ghost ...
(which really pisses me off because I just sunk over $2,500 into hubby's mouth getting three of HIS teeth laminated)
