If you want to look 'lean' your answer lies in the kitchen, what you put into your mouth will largely determine your bodyfat levels, thus determine your appearance.
As far as training, I can't say enough for compound movements. For me, pressing has always been king for delts, overhead presses, behind the neck presses, push presses, dumbell overhead, seated military, whatever, just pick a press and train it hard....flat bench, incline, decline, and dips also build delts.
Some people like lateral raises.....to each their own, but personally, I feel they are a total waste of time, if you keep getting a better press and drop laterals, you won't even know they're gone.
