Dehydration and lower back pain

wow i never even knew there was a relationship between the two. Maybe that explains my lower back pain. I turned 21 last weekend and drank heavy for 3 days. Woke up the next day with the worst back pain ever. ive been drinking shitloads of water and its finally going away after like 2 days.

Sound like you *did* know that there's a relationship between the two? Why else would you have been drinking shitloads of water to get rid of the dehydration? Sort of confused here...

Anyway, does anyone know the story is?

i ddint know there was a coorelation between lower back pain and dehydration. i was drinking water because i was dehydrated, but wasnt aware that the lower back pain was caused by dehydration itself

The pain you're feeling is caused by your kidneys. If I don't stay well hydrated while on a cycle my kidneys will actually throb. I've found pure cranberry juice to work very well for easing the discomfort. The easiest way to avoid the problem entirely is to stay hydrated, though :D

To put it simply, your kidneys work a little harder.

I'm not 100% sure but I actually think that's a myth. The lower back pain most bb's are experiencing is NOT kidney related but rather b/c of dehydration. I'm definitely more likely to buy what they said in MattRecc's link.

Dehydration and kidney function are directly related.

Sure. But I still don't think the lower back pain/stiffness bb's feel is typically a kidney issue. I think it's the dehydration ITSLEF (as suggested in MattRecc's link).

Anyone who knows? Any docs onboard today?
