Deca- Super Drug???

Guys, I just finished reading Muscular Development at the supermarket a few minutes ago. There was an article saying that Deca was some sort of super drug that allowed you to gain virtually all muscle with 600mgs a week being the optimal dose. Is this true? Or is typical BS magazine propaganda?
 
I base this off, Four (4) of my friends use with deca. They used 400mg/week for eight weeks. Nothing was used to help with water retention, but i dont think deca is a super drug. I think fina is a super drug. "super drug" is a strong term. The guys i know had good gains, but had SOME water. Deca is no super drug. AS can only be super drugs if they are used with other AS. You cant compare a someone using a single steroid compared to a stack.
 
So you are saying deca is all lean mass gains ? Not flaming bro, but i doubt that.
 
Any anabolic steroid can cause some water retention. If you compare the bloat you get from test, to the bloat you get from deca, test is way worse, yet bros on this board swear by 1 gram a week cycle of that shit. IMO I think 'pure anabolics' are the way to go. You grow nicely, less water, less sides, keepable gains, etc. Deca is definitely a good drug and has it's place among us.

im sure he's basing it out of the fact that deca makes you hold water. deca has a conversion rate to estrogen at 20% while having progesterone like effects independant of its conversion rate. estrogen makes u hold water. thats why hes saying that alot of the weight is not just solid muscle tissue.
 
Deca is a good drug, but i like drugs like winstrol , fina, eq, and ox. I love being hard with keepable gains.

for further note bro just to educate u a bit. not all steroids cause water retension. non-aromatizable steroids and ones that have no progesterone like effects on there own give no water retension.

please know what you are talking about before you post. Deca does not convert to estrogen, it converts to progesterone. Like I said, you hold much less water off deca than you do with other compounds, namely test, dbol, drol, etc. So if you don't like deca because it makes you hold water, than you'd really hate test, right?

What are you talking about mike? All steriods aromitize to some degree, that's just one of the processes of the steroid being metabolized. If non-aromitizeable steroids exist, then why is it possible to get gyno from ANY steroid???

not flaming you bro but u do need to do more research. seriously. not all do at all. winny for example cant since its a derovative of dht which cannot chemically convert into estrogen no matter what.. proviron as well. primobolan cannot convert into estrogen as well as masteron. bro. do some more research. that stuff i just mentioned is beginner material

it is impossible. even at grams doses a week with these drugs!! even if your a sensitive individual and are prone to gyno it will not happen with these steroids at any dose. im serious bro. u can look it all up yourself. or ask around. just want to inform you.

You can get gyno from any AS. You dont know your shit. Either the as convert to estrogen or PR. The doses matter but you can gyno from ox.

some of the drugs that are dht bases for example were actually used in some countries to fight off excess estrogen and the side effects it gives.

bro, first off, aromitize is a word used to describe the body's conversion of steroid into a different compound. Testosterone for example aromtizes into dht as well as estrogen. All steroids aromitize. That's why a drug test checks for drug metabolites, not the drug itself.

ummm i know this. thats why there are anti-estrogens and other drug like proscar to prevent test conversion into dht. whats your point. i know all this. but some steroids are made in a sense that its chemically impossible for them to convert in estrogen. like most dht-based drugs.

um i just came across this. bro sorry but need to educate one more time just for other people that need to know the facts. deca does convert. notice i said it does convert but independant of its progesterone like effects. meaning i know it is progesterone like but deca also, although at a much lower rate than test, does convert into estrogen. it is progesterone like in itself independant of its conversion

The drugs prevent the conversion? I always was told (incorrectly?) that they simply block the receptors that DHT, PR, Est, usually act on...just looking for facts, as we all are...so you bro's quit ragin on each other...:fro:

They dont stop the conversion they bind to the receptors to block them if im not mistaken. I come to the board to help good bro's and learn new info. I hate when i have to argue over a computer. :(

Deca does NOT convert to progesterone, it exhibits progestinic properties on its own.

Bro, first off, aromatise is a word used to describe the conversion of a substrate into a product through aromatase enzyme. In steroid metabolism, many other conversions occur through pathways facilitated through enzymes other than aromatase.

There are many steroid molecule types that cannot be metabolised by aromatase enzyme.

I dont believe deca sucks. I would much rather fina though:) fina's a fool for some good wieght.
 
I dont think Sus is a super either. The blood levels dont stay constant. The only super drug is when AS are combined. Then they benefit each other.:)
