Deca for sore shoulder?

Grod

New member
I'm currently running Deca(300mg) and Test (400mg). I have been reading alot lately about Deca doses should be around 400mg. Today in the gym on my first couple of sets my shoulder was beginning to hurt. It's not too terribly bad, but I got the hell out of there. I do my injections on Sunday nights, would it be wise to take 100mg of deca or so for the shoulder?

I forgot to mention, if you do injections into that delt..that may help the sore shoulder a little bit. A lot of poeple do site injections with deca on torn/damaged muscle. If you dont know how to do a delt injection: www.spotinjections.com

So, do you think it would be wise to do a site injection in my shoulder of only 100mg since I just gave myself one Sunday? I'm just trying to limit any downtime.

How long have you been taking the Deca, cause it may take 2 weeks to kick in. I took Deca to and my feet which normally hurt (Arthritis) in 2 weeks the pain was gone. Can now do calf raises with an amount of weight . Inject in the shoulder if the pain does'nt go away fast enough.

I personally think deca is more of a bandaid than a long term fix. If your shulder is hurting try and get to the bottom of what is causing it. Most common are muscle imbalances, strains/sprains etc. If you havent been or never have done rotator cuff exercises now may be a good time to start.

It should kick in by now . Try a heating pad at night too or a couple Advils . If pain does'nt go away soon see a Dr. I'm 51 and it started working in about 2 weeks. Age may play a big part, I know your not an old fart but in my case , I am.

I for one would avoid anti-inflamatories. The inflamation is the bodies way of promoting blood flow (and in turn oxygen and nutrients) and healing. If you use meds to get rid of it you are sacrificing comfort for healing. I do agree that if it persists, see a doc, a good sports doc, most gen practitioners just dont know enough about specific injuries like that.

Exactly, I think if your shoulder has began to hurt I think it might effect you in along term. My boy Had a bad shoulder and decided to go through with his cycle and used deca, but I think you might be in for some hurting later on. Just my 2 cents
