It would be nice to see some hard science on this. The usual thought is that using proscar will prevent the conversion of deca to a less potent metabolite and thus will have more androgenic activity in the scalp. The problem with this intrepretaion as I see it is twofold: 1st: if the deca is converted to a less potent form, you end up taking more of it just to make up the difference to get the effect that you want in your cycle, secondly without the proscar, you get conversion of test to dht which is active in the scalp. Perhaps some knowledgeable folks would chime in here, i know that there are several topical treatments for the scalp that are reported to be effective against dht and that could be a solution.
