Debt reduction.

Scotsman

New member
In the last year I have gotten rid of ~$20,000 in debt I racked up when I was younger and stupid, followed by unemployment. By summer I should be completely free and clear.

Yay me.

Anyone else getting their heads above water?

Cheers,
Scotsman

I'm face first right now.

I'll send you mine just so you don't feel lost with no bills ;)

I told you raising your rate for a blowjob was a good idea.

Obviously not enough since they sent someone to break his arm when he missed payments.

I'm just learning to avoid negative balances between paychecks. Debt reduction is next sometime after that.

That's how I was a year ago. I just bit the bullet and quit doing a lot of stuff and focused on paying debts.

congrats scotsbor.

this should be a goal for everyone.

I got my debt down to a reasonable amount (under $3k) this past year. It would of gone faster, but I didn't want to cut down on my retirement contributions or my accellerated (sp?) mortgage payments.

During this year, I plan to get back into the positive and build up my emergency fund to about $5k. Next year, I'd like find the best way to pay off my mortage in about 9 years.

Good work, mines down to about 3K as well, not counting vehicle payments of which I make 3x the monthly amount and should have it payed off by summer.

I also have 5-6K in the emergency fund right now.

Nice going with the EFund. I've got significantly less then that. But, I do own my car outright. Now just for the house...:D
