i believe you have the pro street car right? well me and the old man just picked up a 1955 chevy belair with a 396 dual quad 650 holleys and a shitload more. it has about 500 hp, fiberglass hood that rolls forward and also line lock. it was built to drag i guess by a guy named "krazy mike" do you know of him. we just took it out on the street today and HOLY SHIT!!!! I will snap a few shots of it and post them soon or just send them to you to see. i dont think the line lock works but also i have never had it either, do you know about them? it just another toy to add to the collection, he has 8 toys now and its getting better..... i guess thats what happens when all the kids are grown up, he just seems to want to relive his youth now.........hehehehe

Hell yeah!!!

Line Lock will hold the front brakes so you can do huge smokey burnouts!!!!

POST SOME PICKS MAN!!!!

what i was wondering is if you now how the line lock should engage??? also ever heard of the mike guy? and i will post some pics as soon as i can we just picked it up in CT. thursday so give a few to do it.

never heard of the mike guy. But then again I live in GA

the line lock should be a button.. or a toggle switch.

yea the button is right behind the shifter so thats not the problem........we tried to engage it but it didnt lock the front so i dont know if we did it right......how exactly do you get it to lock? it has a 4000 rpm stall converter to it too.......should we be in park or drive to get it to lock or doesnt it matter?

depends on what kind it is???

the 4000 will make it hard to drive on the street

yea tell me about it.......it has 4:88 gears in the rear and with the converter you just dont know if its the rpm's or if your smoken the tires cause it happened today. i thought i wasnt given it enough so i gave it more and sure as shit it came un-glued......it will be a new thing to learn........lol

They work this way:
1) apply brakes
2) hold button on (or flip toggle switch)
3) take foot off of brake (at this time the line lock should be engaged.
4) BOIL tires!

The line lock works by adding a solinoid on the front brake lines. When the button is activated the solinoid closes, which in turns holds the brake fuid at the calipers.

Check to see that you have power (+) to the solinoid when the switch is activated. Hope this helps.

may I add.. the most impressive burnouts are done from a slight roll... In a shoebox (50's style car) this is ballsy.. the car may start to turn.. learn to countersteer!!!

396+4000 converter+4.88 gears= a badass burnout machine!!!

ok... I am off to the dragstrip!
