I like sammy better but when i think van halen I think DLR

sammy did an occassional good job with van halen ("i can't stop loving you")...but overall diamond dave is who i associate with van halen as their vocalist.

Early Van Halen had harder rock music, and Roth was a better entertainer. Plus Eddie still had talent - have you seen him lately? Gives Kieth Richards a run for the title of most corpse like.
Sammy was great with Montrose, and had some good hits solo.
