Dang neighbors barking dog

That damned dog never shuts up and they don't put it inside at night. It was barking non stop from 12:00 am to 1:30 am. I couldn't find their phone number in the book so I finally got pissed enough and called the cops. Why are people so inconsiderate? The houses on our street are close together, most have maybe 10 feet between them. This dog was two houses down from me but it sounded just like the thing was in my living room. This has been happening ever since the weather warmed up and they've been letting it stay outside at night. Why can't people have some basic consideration for others? Instead, they just go about their business as if they are the only people living on the street. I just don't get it.

I got the same thing from the house behind me. I went to their door during the day and just explained how it sounded from my end.....it got alot better. Now they only let the dog out in the middle of the night if it has to go.

My mom lives in a suburb and she had a neighbor across the road(they live in the country )well water and such
Well the neighbor decided to become the county dog pound and got 150 dogs and i dont know how many cats
the neighbors below the dog lady has a spring well....and it was all so unsanitary and loud it was awful
you couldnt even go on my parents back deck without hearing those dogs
finally, the neighborhood got a lawyer and went to court and made her move all but 5 of her dogs elsewhere....where it wouldnt bother anyone else
its much nicer and quieter now

Yeah, they showed. We have a city ordinance against loud dogs. It's something like a $250 fine. I doubt they gave them a citation, they probably just told them to put the dog inside. I would have gone over myself, but I really don't think it's wise to knock on someone's door at 1 am, especially in my neighborhood.

But he also said the exact same thing to the mailman, the kids playing on the baseball field across the street, as well as people walking along the sidewalk. That damned little dog is psychotic. I guess since he is chained up in his yard he needs to recruit others to do his dirty work.

If it was a pit I would have killed it by now. It's a little yippy dog with a loud high pitched squealing kind of bark.
