I hate it when my mind is spinning on something at night and I can't let go.
The recent problem is about a group of people who break the process and are not penalized for skipping the process. I've got no problem trying to find the most efficient way of doing something.
However, if everyone is a 'leader' and everyone is free to question the leadership and do their own thing, you result in anarchy because everyone is trying to do their own thing and none of them gel together.
Normally, I wouldn't give a shit about this whole problem...but...wait for it...I'm accountable for this piece of the process.
WTF?
So, let me get this straight. This group of people are free to do what they want, but I'm accountable? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!
To this end, I sent a note to my boss and copied them. I hate to write it a few times so I wouldn't swear, but I made it clear that the whole SDLC has been skipped and now we're in 'seat of your pants mode' AND I don't really want to be accountable for the shit that is going to hit the fan eventually.
If I could, I'd outsource that whole team right now.
Thanks for listening.
The funny part is that I'm not really that mad yet. Just mad enough so I can't sleep. If I was that mad, then I'd wish that the kids of that team that skipped the process died or got raped. When I say that, you know I'm really mad.
