that's not as bad as the fact that at the end of a budget year, if a departemnt hasn't spent all of its money, it will buy all sorts of stupid crap so that they won't get a budget cut the next year. I don't know how non-gov't jobs work, but that's the way of it in at least the municipal and in military jobs that i've been in. Total waste of money.

The military went thru this last year. Boob jobs for wives, bachelor parties, one guy even bought porn and had it sent to the base.

One General was relieved of duty for using a gov't card to pay for strippers...for someone who was retiring.

I know it's like that in the oilfield, they usually try to do something good with it though like building park bridges and shit. But if they don't spend it all they are garuanteed a budget cut.
