damn I want one of these

All the cool and radical concepts never get produced.

It pisses me off.

There's no reason that cars should look plain as they do. Well, a lot of them anyways.

Why not have a $30,000 car that looks awesome like a ferrari or lamborghini? It doesn't need to have 600hp and break records on the track.

I guarantee you if someone made an exotic looking car in the $30,000 range they'd outsell all competition.

The body design of a car is infinite. You can make something extremely sexy on any chassis platform and not need be expensive. They need to quit making faggot designs.

Lol@a bunch of 4 cylinder camrys running around looking like gallardos

Not exactly what I meant. Though the Camry looks stupid. They've hung on the same basic design for a really long time.

Atleast Ford tried something more attractive, aggressive and vastly different with the 2013 Fusion vs. the previous generation, and it seems to be very popular because it doesn't look like Grandma's grocery-getter. It has some real styling elements to it. Specifically the front end. It turns heads.

A 412 hp mustang is $31K brand new.

That's more than enough hp for 99% of people.

There's no reason the same platform can't look exotic, with muscular lines.

In fact, Chevy took a great step forward in that area with the 2014 Corvette.

I think the most achieved and admirable american produced car design in the last 20 years is the Viper. That goes for all 3 generations.

European cars have a host of noteworthy designs. Anything from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, lamborghini, lotus, etc.

Still, AAP's original pont holds true. The most attractive concept cars never get produced, or the soul of the design gets completely lost by the time it hits production.

fuck, the interior still sucks and its a concept car....AND I see they have idrive in it

whhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I love bmw but the interior is seriously dated

go check out some audis and get back to me

Doing a lot of organic shapes and complex bends probably wouldn't make the manufacturing of the body panels that much more expensive.

But I do wonder if all those tolerances make it harder to assemble the car. For example with Ferraris, would-be buyers scrutinize "body waves" where even though the seams come together, small errors along the way make tiny ripples or visual inconsistencies in the panel.

You think Joe Dumbass in Dallas or Memphis is gonna care about that when he can get a ferrari with a decent powerplant for only $30k?
