I'm a newbie, but a non-retarded one with a brain. So if you know its legit, then it is not the dbol. As mentioned earlier, its probably your training, sleep, diet, stress, specific exercises, rep range, frequency, receptors, tolerance. Something isnt working.
Also, I noticed in this thread and another where you mentioned the dudes you know who are blowing up. You are not those dudes, you are you. Are you still getting results? Just from a non psychologist perspective, I might think that................you kinda wanna be like them? Well, the results are in. You can be you. You might actually do better working out in a different gym than them if you know what I mean. I like working out in places where I'm the best. Where I do the coolest exercises. Where I'm the most serious. I admit it. Its more fun to be the best at something than to work your butt off trying to be as good as someone else. Use your creativity to find what those things are for you and you'll be much more pleased.
Figuring out a way to a have a friendly ego, be approachable, enjoy helping and recieving help from other people, learning new things, making friends at a gym will always beat being the asshole squat rack hog who's so mothermf'in hood n hardcore. These people are everywhere, and I may have slightly had one of these ego's when I was young factory tough lab coating/freezin coatin 3 job working, night schoolin, ultimate hustler wannabe'in.
Jus saying its a possiblity your a victim of want it all, want it now. Want it all, want it now. You gotta look at what you got, learn from mistakes, learn from personal results and find all the reasons why you can still be happy even though it didnt worked out as you planned or dreamed.
No matter how smart you are, no matter how hard you try, you might have to learn to get by on less. Enjoy the little things in life. Enjoy working out even if you cant get better. You will get old. If you dont learn this when youre young, you'll be a depressed man when your old.
Doesnt mean you gotta a sissy old guy. Doesnt mean you gotta give up. Means you gotta work harder, and mainly smarter than the old people you see at the gym. Weak ones who didnt keep up. Or perhaps got greedy on roids, and f'ed up their life permanently.
Always better to underdose, than overdose. Addiction is no game. Addiction is a learning process. You dont get good unless you've been rock bottom many times. Good thing my addictions are fitness and food these days.
Money plays along into this stuff as well. F money. I could be a millionaire with no heart. I know marketing. I know psychology. I also know that making people smile is worth more than any million dollar bank account. A good business man does it for the love first, and money at the very bottom of the list.
