Da Vinci Code will disappoint the book readers...TB thinks

I hope not. If the movie sucks I'll spill my soda on the floor in protest, popcorn too, if there's any left.

It won't suck but people will expect new stuff and all of the old stuff. Can't happen.

Dan Brown is the perfect writer. Nothing to do but go downhill.

I really enjoyed all of DB's books. I'm a bit of a history buff and love all sorts of that stuff - hell, I've read all the Clive Cussler books, and a whole bunch of other of these sorts of books. One that was a tough one to get thru was The Name of the Rose (the movie was even harder to sit thru) by Umberto Eco - it was good - just long. I guess I haven't gotten too deep into all the drama around it - may wait for the movie out on video or something tho.

Not just the critics...but a lot of talk shows are having D code shows and all of the "experts" are talking about how it is all bunk...Even though the book is written as fiction...it is still getting the bad wrap.
I liked it...I told the wife that I would like to see it and she wrinkled her nose and said that she just did not think it was her type of movie. (she has been watching all of the drama on the talk shows)

Did Sahara wind up making money after the DVD came out?

I have not heard a word.

The problem is that it has been presented as fact, or at least some have tried to present it as fact in an attempt to discredit the church and Christianity as a whole.

A lot of people are offended by that.

I have heard that it is absolutely unbearable! Evidently, it is overacted and almost a mellowdrama. Plus, critics say that there are like a dozen false endings. I believe one critic said he would have had more fun being dismembered by alligators than watching the film, or something to that effect, anyway. LOL. I'm going to skip it.

The my fiction is better than your fiction argument.
