cycling on and off

I have heard many things, like take certain drugs for short cycles and other for longer cycles, always PCT at the end of these cycles to get your blood levels back to normal. Inject EOD to help also keep blood levels at normal.
My question however is though.. There is no really set time between stopping one cycle and starting another. What would be the major downside of doing something like say a long cycle and starting a short cycle at the end, keep going if you want with something like that or just PCT at the end. Would it really be any different on your body. your blood levels will already be steady from your current usage. I don't know if it is really any better to have your natural levels and enhanced levels bounced up and down all that much. You would think it would be better to have them stay the same for longer and I would also think that keeping them the same longer would result in better gains. I know there is the sides to worry about like gyno and water retention, but if you take other drugs to battle those then what is the real concern then after that? If you take tests too long it might screw up your natural production? but if you PCT longer after you take a really long continued cycle it sould be pretty much the same?

Just curious to see what the pro's or experienced people have to say about this.

thanks

If you don't care about your endogeneous testosterone production, I suppose this would be true.

Post-cycle drugs are supplements that help assist your body... they will not solve any inconsistancies arising from using steroids, merely help the body's recovery along to an oft-debated degree.

Unless one is competing as the amature level or above, I personally never saw any reason to be running more than two cycles a year.

Taking more drugs to combat the effects of others can lead to a vicious circle, and should be approached with caution.

Extremely long cycles have the potential to shut down your HTHP axis pretty good, and recovery is going to vary more person to person rather than depend on the drugs used. There can exist numerous difficulties throughout the body after prolonged cycles outside of just testicular atrophy.
