cycles for BB compared to powerlifters

I was talking to an old friend who is a powerlifter. He has been training for 18-20 years and has held many records. We had not talked shop in awhile. He in fact was my mentor when I started training and cycling. I told him about some of the new cycling theories that I have learned from being on this board for over a year now. I told him how i was frontloading 2 grams for the first two weeks and he about fell off his bench. He proceeded to give the same speech from the first time he helped me about using low to moderate doses for long periods of time. He is a pretty large person (345#) but has very high body fat, like many powerlifters. So my question I guess should be, should body builders and powerlifters cycle differently because they are both looking for a different result? Obviously one wants to be as big and lean as he can and the other wants to be as strong as he can.

some powerlifters take certain gear that want to increase strength but maybe stay in the same weight class.the big thing i think is that BB tend to eat cleaner not that they really take different gear.powerlifters are not going to be judged on the platform on how they look so they tend to be more flexible with thier diets.just my opinion........

I think the same cycling theories apply to both, the main difference will be in the selection of AAS. Powerlifters will, as allready mentioned, likely stick to high androgens for increased strength with minimal weight gain. While weight class is important to some of them, the big boys can eat or gain however they like.
