cycle issues

So halfway through my 3rd week of 500 test e aND my left pec is sore and nipple was puffy. I took .25 arimidex and some symptoms subsided. Woke up with sore pec and nipple became puffy this afternoon. I took another .25 today and plan to take .25 ed til the end. After my first dose yesterday nipple eased up and I felt calmer, more stable (Emotionally). No ED issues. Just anxiety, emotional, and soreness/puffiness as far as possible gyno symptoms leading up.

I guess I'm just concerned this may not be enough to combat symptoms and to ask if I should combine nolvadex temporarily until symptoms resolve completely. Is it normal to take a day or two for symptoms to resolve fully on AI.

My other concern, since doing research, is I guess I've always had puffy nipples during puberty that went down as I got older, but always had a rounded breast look as opposed to cut muscle. (I've been working out regularly for over 7 years.)

Is it possible I've always had higher estrogen levels all my life?

any advice or ideas? this will be second day on Dex at .25.

And based on that sort of history. ...has anyone taken an AI or nolva while not on cycle or pct and what was your experience?

32/ 15% BF 1st cycle.

It takes some time for the dex to start working. A week or so and yes your symptoms sound like the beginning of gyno. You could do .25 mg ed for a week and if the symptoms subside then drop to .25 eod. If you gave some nolvadex you could start taking 10 mg ed and see if that helps and then discontinue it after a week or 2 but only a low dose 10-20 mg Ed

Thanks for the reply. I thought I read that Dex should take a few hours to take effect? Maybe I read that wrong. I would've thought mild symptoms such as soreness would've gone away within a few hours. Which is why I was concerned I had to go higher. I have nolva but I'll hold off on that to see if this helps and things don't progress further.

First cycle balancing act. Too bad I'm not one of the lucky ones that don't need an AI.

No it's going to take several days. Adex lowers the rate that excess testosterone aromatize it's not going to stop the estrogen that's already circulating in your body from competing with your mammary gland. Nolvadex will do that though. So if you are concerned it wouldn't hurt to run about 10 mg ed of nolvadex during your first week till things clear up

2 days .25 each and soreness is gone. Woke up tired as hell and no morning wood so I think I'll back it to EOD and see how it goes.

You can't just take it a few times expecting it to get rid of it. You need to continue taking it for the rest of your cycle otherwise you will keep experiencing what you have. The key is finding the best balance between preventing gyno and keeping estrogen levels in range without them going too low. I would take it at 0.25mg for a few more days then go to the eod dosing.

For future ref if this happens again go on 10-20mg tamoxifen (nolvadex) ed until the gyno symptoms fade away. You should always use an AI during your cycle if you are sensitive to estrogenic sides and prone to gyno.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if I was gyno sensitive. Apparently I am. Still some minor soreness but will be taking .25 ed for the rest of the week. If symptoms are gone I'll go .25 eod. If not I'll add 10 mg nolvadex until symptoms are gone. luckily, it's mild right now, but it's good to know how I react without. Now it's up to figuring that balance once high symptoms are gone
