Cutting with out losing LBM

What is the best way to cut up without losing too much LBM. What should daily calorie intake be if you are working out and doing heavy cardio 4 times a week.
 
One common mistake people make is lowering there carb intake and total cals way too low.

I will need some more info from you if I can help. What are your stats?

Honestly a good diet high in protein and complex carbs
 
Depending on how carb-sensitive you are, you will need something like:

45 %Prot (quality, animal-source)
25 %Carb (mostly complex)
20 %Fat (the good ones)

You will also, second in importance after the diet, is to make sure you LIFT HEAVY!!! in the range of 10 reps till failure. Only way to hang to that LBM.

Calorie-wise, try 20 ~ 25% below TDEE, never go below BMR and NEVER go below 1800 cals per day

There also some model diets with staples posted, try reading a bit to put together a basic diet we can improve.
