Cutting cycle

Ricky168

New member
I am 22 year old weighing 195 lbs standing at 5 feet 11 inches. I have been lifting for a while but I seem to add muscles or mass but I never get cut up. I have a decent died with protein carbs and fats but nothing ever seems to cut me up. I wanted to get on a cutting cycle and get cut up and get a 6 pack finally. I was wondering if I should use steroids and if so why and which ones? What are the side effects? How long should I use them for? And if I do end up using them for the 'getting ripped cycle' I want to avoid needles. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Elite Fitness Ricky168. It appears you are what we call a hard gainer, meaning you tend to gain muscle mass easily. Thats really a great thing for you, because most people do roids to gain weight , it appears from your post that you have the weight however you just need to dial in your diet. Diet and cardio produce the cutting effect and 6 pack abs you are seeking. If I were you, I would take advantage of this and continue to train hard, eat more protein and clean up your diet.We have a whole section here on EF dedicated to diets. Check it out. Also, for cutting increase your reps to 15 to 20 per set or more if you can. Meaning, if you do dumbell curls do 3 to 5 sets of 20. Lets summarize:

Eat more protein. Clean your diet up ( no junk food)
Increase your reps at least 15 to 20
Increase your cardio. ( I prefer kickboxing and running and would be alot bigger than I am, if I did not do it as often however in your case run on the treadmill 4 days a week or whatever cardio you are comfortable with. good luck

Hard gainer?? I thought it meant that it was hard for someone to gain weight and muscle mass

lol no its like being far sighted, means you cant see up close. If you are prone to gain weight from your diet and your GENETICS its said you are a hard gainer. I know its reversed however its what the weight gods named it. Best of luck to you my friend...

Thanks for your input! So you are saying along with the diet and all I shouldn't take any steroids? How long will it take for me to shed the fat and reveal my abs because that seems to be the toughest area. I seem to always get big but never cut up even the slightest

Im curious where you found this definition of a hardgainer. Everything i searched thru google an other bodybuilding mags says exact opposite.

steroids are not magic pills that you take an magically get a 6 pack. i suggest you lose the extra fat on your belly with a catabolic diet and cardio.

there has been a lot of posts lately of newbies to roids who want to get a specific goal through steroids.. roids are what guys my age use to take us to the next level which is mass and strength gains. using roids to get a 6 pack, become a better boxer, be able to run a marathon etc etc is not what they are intended to do nor will you succeed by using them for those types of things.

OP- post up your average day's diet and we can see what you have to work with...
also do some research on aas on your own, when you have a cycle and PCT in mind, come back and post it up and we can critique it...

guys, i dont see why he cant use juice to help him preserve lean mass while cutting... though the use of needles is inevitable...
am i missing somthing here? im pretty sure juice will help a boxer get stronger, maybe not for the marathon runner... but there are way more applications than bodybuilding out there...

^^^ tren was originally developed as a steroid for people specifically to build muscle then it was banned. also primo was invented for bodybuilders as well for 1 reason and that was to build muscle.. dbol was created to help americans keep up with the russians.. its inventor was a lover of bodybuilding .

i can keep going.

thats fine but he didn't say that.. he said he wants a 6 pack.. steroids or no steroids the only way he is gonna get it is to cut the fat in his stomach and then maybe do some box squats and ab crunchers to grow them.

he obviously hasnt doen much research...
he did say he has built a lot of muscle... it just seems to me it would be counterproductive to tell the guy to run on a treadmill 4 days a week (which was suggested)... because even with a proper diet, most will lose this hard earned muscle doing so...

ok, maybe not most steroids were designed for that... but that is the medically intended use for the ones that are prescribable... docs dont prescribe test (legitamately) for large ammounts of muscle growth... its for quality of a healthy life, proper libido function etc...
in reality, myself included, we are all abusing aas... though most of us take much precaution and keep a close eye on what is going on with our bodies, its abuse nonetheless...
i just dont see them as exclusive to bodybuilders in any way shape or form... barry bonds seemed to excell from their use (not hating on him at all, i believe him to be a hero at that)...

yeah bro I used to think that tren was invented for cows until I started researching it and was shocked to find out that it was actually originally for bodybuilders then banned, then brung back for livestock. just throwing that out there cause a lot of people don't know it.. always want to share info

but yeah you are right the dude needs to do a lot more research with the questions he is asking in his first post.

i think he can achieve his goals with maybe a fat burner supp, catabolic diet, and some cardio. and then later on he can research a cycle once he gets his research under his belt.
