cutting and strength

do you guys still try to to get stronger while cutting?? I know personally strength tends to take a back seat during the cutting phases of my training. Maybe its b/c strength gains become fewer for me while cutting...anyone else?
 
strength gains may come slower or be "fewer" during cutting phases compared to bulking, but I sure as hell still try to get stronger! More emphasis is put on cardio during cutting, but I still try to make gains in all my lifts.
 
I usually throw in large amounts of creatine when I cut to keep strength gains at least the same as when I finished bulking. I don't deal with loss of strength real well.
 
do you not find that the water weight held from Creatine conflicts with your cutting goals? or do you ignore it since you probably lose it when you come off creatine?
 
this is why i dont cut, i dont want to lose strength, i would rather just straighten out my diet or increase workload then "cut" since its not like im going to be competing

I hear that man. I find as i increase my cardio i decrease my strength. Im sure some of it is mental...sucks either way though. I think cutting by just dietary changes is the best way to go
