I have received conflicting info in regard to power bars , and I would like to find your input also as here are many knowledgeable
guys!

I am cutting right now and I also use power bars in my diet.

SOme voices would argue that power bars are no good when you cut...
Is that true?

Power bars are no good for cutting because they have easy to eat carbs in them. I know they have a little bit of fiber in them, but I doubt it's enough to do anything spectacular as far as slowing down digest, of course, it probably will do that a little bit. If your serious about eating healthy and/or cutting then you should avoid bars at all cost, especially bars that are not low-carb like power bars. My General rule is that if it's a processed/eaten in it's non-naturally occurring state, then it's bad, of course, there are exceptions to this rule, and it's just my opinion anyway-I'm super sensitive to having an insulin overreaction after eating.

no they are not good compared to whole food as they have carbs from sugar, glycerol. plus whole food is much better, however i eat one a day because they are so convenient. if you are eating them b/c you are at school or something and cant eat food, it is a good choice to get a meal in every 3 hours and not eat bad food, however if you can eat real food choose that.

I try to eat only real food so thats what I do: when i got home after university around 8:30PM I prepare all my meal for the next day so I dont have to worry to prepare it during the day...I put everything inside plastic box(tapware) pack my bag and Im ready to go!

If I'm goingto eat a protein bar. It would ONLY be Muscletech's Nitrotech bar. And i would only eat the S'mores flavor cause the rest of the Nitrotech bars taste sucks. and i only eat a nitrotech bar on the weekend when I'm driving around alot and don't want fast food. the Nitrotech bar has no carbs & no sugar in it and 35grams of nitrotech protein.

that is incorrect, they have about 9 g. carbs and 3 from sugar i think.

Sorry, I wasn't technical. But compare that to the other bars that have 35g of protein. And the ones that have that much protein has alot of carbs and sugar. I'm not endorsing Muscletech. I think they're WAY over priced. But i will eat their Nitrotech bar on the weekend for the crck craving i get when I'm cutting.
