Cut up....cardio?

Is there any way to cut up with just high reps and deit. If not how often should i do cardio, and what is the best way to start out. I get winded pretty quick at this stage. do you get the same effects on a cycle, step, and tred

you can get cut up with just diet. throw out the high rep thinking, unless you want to get good endurance in curling, side raising, shoulder pressing etc...thats their function. endurance, not burning more calories or "shaping"

I just switched from 6-8 reps to 12-15 and lowerd the weight. trying to cut up for the summer. On top of that since im trying to cut i really try not to rest inbetween sets every other workout. not good?

If you are cutting I would suggest switching back to lower reps with higher weight to help maintain muscle while in a calorie deficit. As bignate73 said high reps have nothing to do with cutting, only endurance.

I will completely agree the old saying of lighter weighs and more reps fr cutting could not e further from the truth. You need to go heavy as hell for 4-8 reps to keep your strength while you are dieting and increasing your cardio. This is what I am doing right now.

Damn i guess i was way off. Ive heard from everyone that low heavy reps is for strength and bulk. But thats the reason i joined this site. What else are you taking/doing to cut up. Im taking no-explode,nitrix, and xrated definition formula 2 before every meal. 4 shakes a day and 1-2 solid meals aday. I hate cardio but i guess i gotta suck it up :silly:

Do searches on elite on almost any of the supplements from here:

Also stimulant X is supposed to be good, the old ECA (Ephedrine/Caffiene/Asprin) is good too.

1-2 solid meals ehhh...?

bad idea... eat more food, cut some of the shakes... 2 a day is fine... one after workout, and 1 before bed...

I agree. more solid food. it takes more work for your body to digest and will absorb more slowly giving you a sustained energy release.

I took everyones advice. I dropped back down to 6-8 reps. Im also going to try and cut some of the shakes. It makes sense, im sure your body uses way more energy to brake down solid food. Thing is i work at a desk for about 10 hours a day, and thought meal replacements were the best choice. Ill give anything a shot to cut up right now, so it looks like ill be brown baging it for a minute.
Before i would take a protein shake right after a work out wait an hour, than hit boston market up for two white skinless chicken breasts. that was the only solid meal, id eat. Ive been doing that for over a month. I started at about 225lbs 6weeks ago and last night somehow im up to 231lbs. im alittle more lean not a ton but i can see a difference.
