Customs...Trouble, need help asap.

Help a brutha out and dont move this to the legal board, there are 2 people there and 450 here so...

I have a pack coming, its been in customs being processed for 2 day which has never happened. I have a bad feeling on this one. Its usps and requires a sig. I have cleared the house and want to know if know if no one is home and no one signs can they still screw me over. I just want to write it off for a loss?

is it to your name? were you supposed to sign for it? I guess if you were expecting a package that needed a signature, that may pose a problem.

If you "just want to write it off for a loss", then never take posession of the package. And to answer your question, if no one is home and no one signs, they cannot still screw you, there is not probable cause to execute a warrant without you accepting the package. I repeat, do not take posession of the package, if you are willing to take the loss.

Exactly right. If the approach you and hand you the package reject it. Take a look and tell them that you are not expecting anything from this person and you do not know who they are. Then they cannot bust you. If they leave it at your house then you should be fine. Either way I would keep the house clean for a while if you are that suspisious. Hope it all works out bro.

Thanks guys! Its a six hundred dollar package and that is definatly not unuf to risk my freedom. I have done this for years and have not been this worried, I will write it for a loss and not use the addy again.

two quick things....the holiday slows everything down...so that could be one thing...also..if your cool with your UPS driver hell flag you down if theres a problem..if its a sting...it will be some meatstick undercover..and you know it...your choice... you are right it isnt worth your freedom...

If you write it for a loss remember to declare it in you income tax so the government can give you a refund for that loss.
