Customs flagged my addy...

I am waiting on a package and I believe customs has it and may have flagged my address, Now there will be a new package being sent to a different location. Can I use the same name but a different address for the new package?

yes i don't think they would flag a name, especially one like John Smith..

Did it get snagged at Chicago? I don't think they flag your addy or name. Some get through some don't I think it is as simple as that.

even if they got your addy it is very unlikely that future packages will get intercepted.

they dont sit and look at each package's address/name etc etc.

however, once is a yellow light.
get another package caught and you should expect a controlled delivery. thats for sure.

Let me ask a dumb question. If you don't receive the package, the source say they have shipped it, then how do you go about determining if customs held the package or if the source never sent?
I am guessing the obvious answer is know your source.

Just curious, do you get a letter every time a package gets stopped?

You should get a letter from customs. Also, ask your source if it was sent and if so, can they give you the tracking # so you can see if it did make it.

when customs stops a package, they will send you a letter (if you're lucky that is and if the order was small).

if it was a big order they may set up a 'controlled delivery'.
do a search if you dont know what that is.

Unless it is coming from Costa Rico or Greece or something like that with regular stamps not with tracking numbers. Domestic I usually have a number, but I usually dont get tracking numbers from international friends.

I know what a controlled delivery is satchboogie.
The order was small. I have to say I have seen more orders go through then not make it, but with this one company it has been abhout five weeks and they don't have a tracking number. It is small test order, so I doubt Controlled Delivery only a few amps of Primo. I have emailed but the customer service contact seems to think customs may have gotten it. I was just wondering if I would get letter which would validate his story...never had one seized before, but never had one take five weeks before either.

even if it arrives. refuse it.
