Tis quite possibly the end of a rap legend. Eminem's greatest hit's album. Check out the song "When I'm Gone", it's one of new tracks he made for the album. Tight fuckin song.

Released December 6.

lol

how is this guy a legend? He has been around for like 6 years, if that. How many albums, 3 or 4. My mother is more of a legend than he is.

Van Halen are legends.

I was thinking more Public Enemy. Not Flavor or Griff...but more like Chuck D.

what with artist that have been around only a few yrs coming out with greatest hits...like greenday or somebody is coming out with one too...are they that hard up on making another album?

Legend? That's a little strong, dontcha think?

Hardly. It's not exactly the easiest thing being a white rapper (signed under a world class producer/label) and survive and prove that you are leagues above others in a genre of music labeled "black music". Yes, he is a legend. He's done a lot of things for rap that are overlooked.

No, they are not hard up on making more albums. They dont want to extend their careers to a point where they finish off as less than mediocre. Eminem is a legend because of what he did for rap. He's been in the public rap scene since 96/97 has put out more than just 4 albums (remember, rappers dont just do solo work).

See, I'm not even going to argue this with you because of this statement right here. Re-think what you just said than come back.

Not only was he an underdog, but he proved to better than many other rappers. When you get praised by Nas and Jay-z, that means something.

Pfft. When you get praised by Chuck D, KRSOne, and Big Daddy Kane; THEN it means something.

ya, your are right. I threw Van Halen out there cause they are my favorite of all time, but they have also been around like 30 years.

Public Enemy, NWA, etc can be considered legends of rap.
Eminimem made news cause his lyrics were shocking that is about it. I could be wrong, I dont listen to hip hop that much.

Dude, if you cant give props to Nas of Jay-z, I'm sorry, but I gotta discredit everything you've just said.

I'm not saying eminem is a legend because he sparked contreversy because of his lyrics, I'm saying it because the guy could spit fire and had great concepts for songs. He also had so good production throughout most of his career as well.

Damn, I'm talkin' like the guy is retired. More than likely, he wont sit out of rap, he'll just be on the sidelines watching over his estate and come into play when his business demands it...that's pretty much what rap has turned into, unfortunately.

I figured that he'd go into a clothing line, perfume, video game, play, and a tell-all book about him and 50 cent.

Nope, he's white trash, remember? He is incapable of doing such things. Besides, 50 cent has all angles covered by the looks of the media.

You don't to smell like him?

You don't want a game where you run around and try to kill your ex-wife? Oh wait. They made that already. GTA.

It aint that I dont know about Kane, krsone or any other rap pioneers, it's just that I cant deny that they are greats.

Canadians dont become rappers...we dont become anything besides...well, older canadians with a greater tolerance for booze.
