Crystal Light>--- Anyone drink this shit?

On a low sugar/ carb diet

Seems to be a good alternative with 0 carbs. What does everyone think?

Very good for any diet whether it is low carb or not. It contains splenda!

My favorite is lemonade!:p

Crystal Light is the shit! I buy that stuff by the box from Costco. Only thing is that most of the flavors arent any good, but the lemonade is the best!!

Yep, Crystal Light is the best thing since sliced bread. BTW-
If you ARE low carbing like myself, watch for the Iced Tea. It
DOES contain caffiene. They do have a decaf version. I likes
the Lemonade and Rasberry stuff. Ummm..it feels like your
cheating when you drink it.

I am addicted to that shit. But only lemonade. interesting that there is carbs listed on the ingredients but I guess a serving is less than a gram so they can say zero.

Does the caffiene turn into carbs or what. I am low carbing right now and have been drinking the shit out of the Iced Tea

I just started a CKD and am wondering if the citric acid is keeping me out of ketosis. I have read this happens. If I am not in ketosis by tomorrow then I 'll have to cut the crystal light out of my diet.

and the crystal light I drink contains aspartame not splenda(sucrolose). Not sure if it is a regional thing.

No. The caffiene DOES in fact spike your insulin levels leaving
you MUCH more suceptable to gaining fat for about 6 hours
following the drink. That is if you have a meal in that time. That
my friend is why I have almost given up coffee. If you have a
cup of coffee, followed by a high glycemic range food (like a
fruit for example) you are walking around with a blood glucose
level that is probably close to what a type 2 diabetic has. Just
buy the deca tea. Not as good but still VERY do-able.

It's actually a combo of the citric acid and the caffeine that is
keeping you out. STOP drinking it a.s.a.p. if your goal is to
remain in ketosis. Good luck.
