Crum Diet Question

I am about to try the Crum diet thing but my question to those who know the diet shit is: Do you have to worry about creating a calorie defcit while on it.........

This is what I know so far
I am have a LBM 173lbs times 10 for basic cals=1730*1.6(represents ??? I think matian muscle perservation) =2768 then subtract 500 for every lbs/week you want to lose so the end number would be 2268 cal

My guess is that on Crums diet you would eat a lot more cals but I have never seen any numbers on cals

thanx for the info

take a look at the ratios of protein and fats to your bodyweight, i believe its 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per lb of body weight and .5 -75 grams of fat per lb of bodyweight .....figure out how many grams of protein and fat you need then multiple by whatever the ratios are 1 gram of protein = 4 cals or something like that.....that should give you an outlook on what your total cals should be

When it comes down to losing weight usually it does depend on being calorie deficient but i am not too sure how it works with the carb dropping diet so you may wanna look for some help there

if you have excess calories on a protien and fat diet, the extra calories would not be stored as fat because there would be no insuln to do it right?

yea lamp I think that protein and and fats both equal 4 cal each.
then 200grams of pro= 800cals then i gota get the other amount which is like 2200-800= 1400 from fats hell no i gotta be missing something BUMB

1 gram fat = 9 cal.
1 gram protein=4 cal.
1 gram carbs=4 cal.

Protein will cause insulin to be present, just not as much as when you ingest carbs. Insulin or no insulin you can't break the rule of thermodynamics. That extra energy you consume must go somewhere and if you aren't burning it you're storing it. Since muscle can only be built so fast even with AS then no doubt fat gain will happen.

This is a common misconception that people have and I think animalbolics is partly to blame. It's a great diet but it makes people think insulin is the only thing that causes fat gain and this is obviously not true. Personally I think insulin management is more important while bulking than while cutting. Regardless if you spike your insulin at every meal, if you're in a caloric deficit you will be losing weight whether it be fat or muscle. If you have enough protein and are working out then most likely it will be fat.

However if you are eating maintenance calories or above then I definately think insulin management is a very important factor because then it plays a huge roll in where weight is stored. Spiking insulin while in a hypercaloric state can lead to more fat than muscle gain if you aren't careful.

thanxs guitarjac that makes more sence even though it still like 155 grams of fats if I am going no carbs. That sounds like a lot.
