Crossing the border

I went to TJ for the first time in over a year. The only change I noticed at the border (on foot) were walk thru metal detectors just as you enter the customs building. Does anybody know if the detectors will go off because of the metal cap on a vial? Also how many vials would it take to set them off?

no it wont go off if you have any vials, i beleive the caps are aluminum not metal

liquid muscles right. I've heard of a few guys bringing vials and amps across in TJ and everything was fine.

Strange, when I crossed on 12/22, they were only using hand held detectors, no walk through machines. The wands didn't even pick up the keys in my pockets.
