Critique on Recomp cycle - bad idea?

Is it a bad idea to bulk and cut in one cycle?

I'm 26, 6'1, 185lbs right now. 1st cycle was over a year ago, 500mg test where I went from 185 to 222 at my highest. I believe 500mg was too much, I had trouble getting it up and had serious back acne in PCT. Also I wasn't using an anti-e until midway thru cycle

My plan was this

Next 5 weeks: aiming at 4000 cals per day

after those 5 weeks, start my cycle

week 1: start 300mg test cyp and 50mg anavar, for 5 weeks. aim for 4000 cals
week 6: drop anavar, keep 300mg test for next 7 weeks
week 10: cut at 3000 cals per day
week 12: drop test and introduce hcg
week 14: start pct with nolva at 20mg per day

using exemestane throughout cycle for anti-e

honestly i just want to drop a little BF and gain lean muscle, is this the best way to do it?
 
you should run the hcg through the cycle to prevent shutdown rather than in pct. if you want to have a good finish you may want to do the anavar at the end of the cycle. It will lower hunger so would be good during the lowerd cals. You may find it hard to eat big to bulk while taking it. Idk about cut and bulk but lean gains is doable for sure. Id add in some daa into pct for quicker recovery and libido. its cheap and proven. A lot of other things that get recommended are super expensive and not proven in human studies.
 
Recomp should be one of the main themes in all steroids boards yet it's rarely discussed.
I came out of a long, long recomp period just now and the way I did it was do my cycles as I normally would (Deca, Test and Masteron) and diet like I was cutting but not trying to adjust it throughout or expect to get cut or anything: I calculated that I needed to sit at 2750 Kcal (I was using the diet on a book) and kept it like that for 6 months. Oh, I've been using HGH for the last three as well.
It's a slow process during which you can't trust your scale at all and just judge how you look in the mirror but it can be done.

Regarding using drugs that you would for actual cutting (like Anavar), I'm not sure about that. I used Clen on and off and didn't see much benefit from it. I think being patient and constant is more important for recomping and you can save the more fancy stuff for later on when you're ready to cut proper.
 
I've done this before bro. It works in longer cycles at least 8 weeks. Move anavar to the tail end, add dbol to beginning. Increase cals more early, cut more at end. Drop a little BF% before you start. Change routing accordingly. Increase cardio as you go. Have a solid PCT.

Most will probably say its ineffective, but in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure you achieve the same end.
 
i'm assuming thats you at 225 in that avi and not at 185. i would definately get your pct and bridge in check before running another cycle. no point in blowing up 40 pounds and then losing it all. all you are doing is taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. try and figure out how to take 2 steps forward and 1 step back only.

and with the wonderful supps and SARM's available no reason why you can't take 2 steps forward and a .25 back only.

you can start by learning a far superior pct than the shitty one you have been using. nolva is not a pct. nolva does nothing but hurt you in pct. no wonder you lost all your gains.

if you are really really really serious then PM me and lets put you on a much better pct program, but please don't PM me unless you are dead serious and won't quit on the gym when you are off the sauce.. same goes for ANYONE reading this and trying to figure out what they are fucking up in pct. PM me your stats and history and let me mold you a better pct.. on EF we want guys to stop wasting money juicing and then losing their gains for nothing. i'm sick of reading guys using pct's from 30 years ago and losing gains
