Looks good to me - although you haven't posted your stats. Assuming you're around 170lbs or so you have calories about right IMO.

The only thing I'd change is your nutrition around workout time. It sounds like you're planning on lifting on an empty stomach.. which is not such a great idea.

sorry...

195 lbs., and i'm guessing i'm around 15-18%BF. i'll post a pic when i get home. my goal is to cut fat, keeping as much muscle as possible (who doesn't want this?). i've been around 20% for too damn long. i did the ANPB diet for a couple of weeks, and am thinking of doing something a little healthier.

my current routine is this:
MWF cardio 30 minutes, moderate intensity on an empty stomach
TTS lift, tuesday chest/tris, thursday back/bis, saturday legs/abs
Sunday rest

yeah, cardio on an empty stomach isn't too bad, but lifting on an empty stomach sucks. i'm not sure if i'm getting weaker, or if i'm just so tired because of the lack of food. i'm thinking of eating a sweet potato with 16oz. of skim milk 30 minutes before lifting (still do cardio on an empty stomach). good idea? or should i just wait until the evening to lift?

if i do wait until evening to lift, should i still eat the potato/milk? will it be ok that i'm doing cardio the morning after a lifting session? should i just say "f*ck it" and do everything in the evening?

thanks. k for you all.

I think you should keep your cardio in the morning on an empty stomach.

And you definiately should NOT being lifting on an empty stomach. If you're going to lift first thing in the morning, have your 7am meal before you train.

Always make sure to have a protein shake after your workout whether it be cardio or lifting.

This is just my suggest. :)

these are the jumbo xl eggs. each egg has 8g of protein. i heard that you lose a gram or so when you remove the egg white, so that's 8x8=64-8=56g

add in the minimal protein contained in the oatmeal, you get a little above 60 or so.

you're probably right. it's somewhere around there. maybe i'll toss in an extra egg to compensate.

what do you think of the diet, though? any suggestions?

I dont like low carb and high fat

I would prefer a moderate carb ( 150 g ) and low fat ( 40 g )

the protein looks good ...

I feel sure the lack of carbs or the low amount of carbs are what is robbing your strength and energy. Try dropping carbs to nothing for a few days and you wont wanna get out of bed. I would eat a bit before workout and then hit the shake after workout. If you have time it is best to do cardio on empty stomach in the morning and then to do the heavy weights afternoon so you can go balls out. So, yeah, eat something either during(sounds crazy but some do it) or before the weights(one hour or 1 and a half) Keep your cardio on empty stomach like the others said and I would bump the carbs personally. just like victor said. I have never been sold on the low carb thing unless it is someone who isnt going to get in the gym and work.I am a bit confused too, are you trying to tone and cut up or are you trying to maintain bf and gain muscle ? Are you on gear or any diet supps ? Sorry, I am new to the diet board, maybe everyone is cutting and toning. By the way, I love your username, made me laugh out loud. good luck bro. :)

i'm adding a few low GI carbs, and a potato before my workout in the PM.

this diet is working really well. a lot more fun than the ANPB diet, and i feel a lot healthier. lbs are dropping too. down 5 already :)
