I know very little about any sports.
I know a lot about baseball, less about football, and I'm fairly certain I know a lot of track and field.

That said, today I am going to watch a cricket match. It is the second day of it, and the score is currently over 400 on one side, to 7 on the other.

I have no clue if that is normal, but apparently most people that go to this thing mainly go to bet on side games and drink heavily.

They are so into cricket here that this is actually a 4 day weekend and nearly everything shuts down just so that this can go on.

Imagine if they did that in the states for the SuperBowl? You get the day off to go and watch football? Kick ass.

Except instead, here it is cricket. Which as far as I can get the rules, there are dudes that play a fucked up version of baseball in lots of clothes.
Also here, they don't really let white people play. One of my friends here was on the team, but they never let him play since he was white - so he dropped out.

Oops, just heard we are going to ride JetSkis first - haven't done that in awhile.

Also, Nathan sucks.
 
I actually love to watch cricket. There is a cricket league here and Baltimore has a team. It's made up of a bunch of English, Indian and West Indian guys. I go practice with them every once in a while. I am like a huge star!
 
what if real live crickets were used in place of the "ball thing", im not talking regular crickets im talking ball size crickets, that would make it rule even more im pretty sure, it would kinda be like a gallagher show people in the front rows would have rain coats on and stuff
 
Cricket sucks ass...more so than soccer. You need lots of herb to survive a day of watching either one of this boring ass events.

I just got back from the thing.

It isn't entirely clear to me if the thing was even over yet, and I think it was tied.

We won $30 betting, and I had a Coke.

It was hot and sweaty and there was lots of BO and dirt. It reminded me of some Mexican border towns. Lots of pushing and pulling and people not smiling.

On the good side, lots of chicks wearing bikini tops.

I had on a bikini top as well and my man boobs filled it out nicely if I do say so myself.

Now we are heading out to Italian food.

Add that right up at the top of your list of "things I couldn't possibly care any less about"

I have to imagine that watching cricket is a lot like grocery shopping. Only without the carts.

In college I had an economics prof from Pakistan-- but he'd lived in Boston for 10 years so he had a bizarre Boston/Pakistani accent. Anyhow every once in a while we'd get him talking about cricket and he'd go on and on. We were all just dumb american kids who didn't get it all all but he got quite animated and passionate about it. I bet listening to him was more fun than actually watching the game. The guy who sat next to me was always drunk on blackberry brandy in that class. I sure remember a lot about economics...

no no no, you got me all wrong. "sosciopath" is more my style.

were I truly doing horrible things, my recent move would of course show a marked decrease in a type of activity in my old location, and a marked increase in that activity in my new location.
total bummer for me of course if that correlation is in fact shown purely out of coincidence.

aside from excessive masturbation, I'm not sure they will see much change in any patterns that I would cause by moving.

DCup's posts sound like what Code would post if he was huffing paint thinner all day.

Oh that's right, today is still Friday.

I have had the past two days off and the combination of that and me being more retarded than God has caused me to forget what day it is.
I thought it was the weekend - you know, what everybody is workin' for.

As for cricket, I only saw a small fraction... basically it was a dude in white standing in a field.

It was hot as hell and I was sweating like the proverbial watermelon at a Baptist BBQ.

I have consumed at least twice my weight in water today, just to keep up with my sweating propensity.
