creatine?

hey guys... i am thinking of taking creatine. I did some research on it earlier today and i think that it might be beneficial for me to add as long as i am getting enough protein and drinking enough water. My friend said that when he did a 5x5 with a friend of his, he was originally stronger, but due to the creatine his friend surpassed him in all of his lifts by about 10 pounds. However, once they both stopped for football and started up again for lacrosse, the kid who didn't take creatine was stronger. Any views on this and taking creatine in general?

Why not take it? It naturally occurs in foods anyway. Just remember it's a SUPPLEMENT to your already perfected diet and training :)

yeah that is a given.. My diet has been improving and i am also going to start bringing in lunch instead of buying w/e shit my schools is serving.

the only major downside to taking creatine is for the poor guy training next to you-

Do you know these Creatine Side Effects?

"Some people suffer from stomach problems or diarrhea (or gas)."

The guys on creatine at my gym are gas factories and really stink up the gym...dont be surprised if your trainig alone..lol
I'm sorry... could you put your posts in audio format? I cant pull my eyes away from your avatar to read the post. :)

as the others said, taking creatine certainly wont hurt and it will probably help. dont do more than 5 g a day as more is not better.

And like you said, make sure you keep your water intake up. I just started taking creatine again myself.

let me say that I dont think there is anything "dangerous" about creatine. And it's certainly not a "magic formula" to getting huge, ripped or whatever. What it will hopefully do for you is to increase your strength which enables you to lift heavier weight, which in turn causes muscle growth to adapt to the heavier weight.

What I meant about not taking too much is that doing so will just be wasting it. Although creatine isnt expensive, there still isnt any reason to waste it.

Hope this helps.

It's cheap. It's effective and not everybody gets the ass bomb from it. If you do try a different brand or dosing at different times.

That is the first that I have ever heard of this I personally have never had any problems with creatine.

Msbeverlyhills I have heard those stories a lot but I have personally not experienced it but you know every person is different and reacts differently to certain "things" .

This hands down. Best creatine supplement on the market. To the poster above who's dropping $$$ on Celltec, I can guarantee C-Bol blows it away. If not I'll buy your unused bottle lol

JDid, all you need right now is "Creapure" trademarked creatine monohydrate. Take 5g everyday. Mix it with your post workout shake, or with some juice at breakfast.

"Creapure" is the premier maker of creatine. It's like the gold seal of creatines.

Whatever brand of monhydrate you buy make sure it has the creapure trademark
