Virtual - This happened back in November. I was being tested. I was going through a transformation. I destroyed one of my friends 2 weeks before this fight with my roommate... that guy no longer pushes him mom around. He also has a job now. He also doesn't drink every night. That guy needed his ass beat. Nobody better to do it that a best friend. I wouldn't go overboard. I proved the world's point and moved on. Another person may have thought a hospital stay was a pivotal part of the learning experience. He pushed people around for years because he didn't realize what it was like to be pushed around. He does now, and he no longer kicks the shit out of his family members.
My roommate was testing me... almost like a territorial battle. We have known each other since kindergarten my friend. Trust me when I say, while I may not have many acquantainces... I have solid friends. The friends I've had... I've had for many, many years. And we know each other inside and out. In any kind of relationship, there is always a leader. There is always a more powerful party. The ring leader if you will. You don't get that position standing in the back listening to people speak. If you want to be in control, you have to take control. And yes, I take my fair share of ass kickings to remain where I am in our pack.
I could give two shits about any of that though. I am much deeper than that. I realize all these things are stemmed from lack of communication. While I'd hate to take the brutality out of this thread... anyone with a deeper understanding can see the reality, and the origin of the fighting.
As I said before... we fought for one reason, and one reason alone.

If you take self out of a conflict, you will always find an answer. It is when you include yourself in the conflict, that your personal desires and wants blind you from what is fair. When your eyes have been opened, you will be able to wash away your personal desires, and look at the situation in a non-bias way. At that time, you will find an answer.
If you don't believe that you can be blinded by your greed... turn on Judge Judy. Day in and day out, people are blinded from the truth by their own greed.
Sometimes it takes a good friend to allow you to see deeper, sometimes it takes a stranger. Fortunately for my friends, a good friend was able to do that for them. I probably would have prefered it that way myself. But then again, I wouldn't be able to be 'ring leader' if that was the case.
