cracking primoteston amps

how in the HELL do you crack these things? i've scored them just like i would any other amp and i still crushed the damn thing in my hand. is there some trick i am missing?

Are you using the clear amps with blue print by Cid Co? found them hard too, but it works very easily when you learn it, score around the neck of the amp, then take a paper towel and hold it over the top of the amp, and just crack it away from you...

I've never heard of the Primoteston that your talking about, but thats good advice on the amp-cracking. I find that with the Mexican PT250's that they really dont need to be scored. Just get a towel & hold the base of the amp with that & do the same to the top portion in case the top of the amp smashes when you crack it...this happens alot & you will get a nasty cut if you dont wrap the amp. Then just give it a quick, firm SNAP!

This sounds crude but I cover the top with a paper towel and smash it with a pair of plyers...Simple.. when the glass breaks the peices are way to big to go through you pin..have always done it this way as well as othwers and never had a problem...good luck

I went to Sears and got a glass file. It is way easier to use than the little ones that used to come in Masterone boxes. It really scores deep so the tops break off easily without any risk of cutting you up and wasting your gear.

just put a pen cap over the top, hold the bottom and snap it--never, ever had a problem
