Court appointments...

Just got out of court awhile ago for expired registration/insurance, speeding and
no running lights.

Couldn't defer because I had a traffic infraction within the last 3 years.

I watched 12 people ahead of me contest their case and all 12 lost and ended up pretty much paying the full amount.

If in doubt, go for mitigation. The original amount got dropped by 60% because I decided to mitigate and just plain told the truth that yes I was speeding and knew shit wasn't working.

Unless you have a bulletproof case, do not contest. You end up costing yourself more time and money.

Just some advice to any who don't know. I've been to 2 different courts and seen about 20 people contest and only one person won out and his evidence and lay out was top notch.

varies from court to court, judge to judge. What was true in the court you were in may not be true in another.

Hmm, well I have been to 2 different courts in totally different areas and seen the same thing happen when people contest.

Basically unless you have absolute 100% proof and can show it in court to the judge, you aren't gonna win and yes, I am basing that off about 20ish people I have seen contest. When 1 outta 20 from 2 different courts wins, that a pretty damn good ratio of losses when contesting.

I'd be willing to bet that if I have a 3rd court appointment in the future I'll see the same thing.
