I am attracted to greivous international problems like a moth to light. i just can't help it. it is my blood. It doesn't sadden me, it just concerns and interests me.

I think of alternatives and solutions. This is a very, very bad mess. I can't see a rosy ending until a lot of people die. Such is the way of the world. Studying world history is like studying war history.

I'm sure the world has never been in a similar predicament. Hey...at least we are not in Iraq. I can't help but feel for the poor, innocent Iraqis who did nothing other than have a butcher for a leader. Our soldiers will not have fun.
