Could I have anxiety ?

I haven't slept well in over 8 months.

There are days when I don't want to talk to or see anyone. It's getting to where I don't even want to go to class. I just want to set in my room, watch tv or surf the net. Days like this I don't even answer the phone.

These days are becoming more frequent. It's really starting to effect every aspect of my life.

I was thinking it was just college, stress, etc...and that I could just ride it out but things aren't getting better. They seem to be getting worse.

Should I see a doc ? Is there any type of treatment for this ?

See a dr. now! Either severe anxiety, depression or both. It can be vastly improved. No need to suffer through that shit.

A doc will just medicate you (not necessarily a bad thing, mind you), but it's just a matter of self-discovery

What type(s) of medication ? Would this be a long term thing ?

I feel too young to have problems like these. Hell, I've always made fun of those depression commercials and now it's like i'm in that boat.

What would I tell a doctor ? The things I listed in the first post ?
Would I just go to my normal family doctor ?

What I'm saying is a doctor will address the symptoms, but only you can cure the root cause.

Not always. There's a big debate among dr.'s. Some believe that medication is best, others-- therapy. The medication route has shown to be more successful and long lasting. You can take Klonopin, an anti-anxiety agent for the rest of your life and you will more than likely live longer if you are prone to anxiety. The drug even lowers your bloodpressure due to the stress relief it provides. Of course, some people will respond to therapy and not need medication. See what happens when you make fun of people. Karma. Depression and anxiety is nothing to laugh about.

Yes, you can find al;most anywhere for cheap.

Your body naturally produces melatonin, thats what makes you feel sleepy. Its not addictive but if you take it too often your body stops producing it.

Try it out and see if it helps you out. Some times if I've had a stressful week, i'll pop a few on Friday night and sleep like 11 hours.

I know you're just trying to help, but melatonin won't do shit for him. He needs to see a doctor.

Anxiety shortens your life span ?

When I went to the Doc to get a script for propecia my BP was high, 159 over something. Bottom # was normal. I thought this was odd because my BP doesn't get that high when i'm on a cycle.

This is really blowing my mind.It just seems so odd for me to have these types of problems and i'm only 22.

I had this at 17 :P
I think its depression. Anxiety is a fuckload of stress that you can't control (you feel like you're gonna die, accompanied by nausea & irregular breathing). See a doc.

Canada doesn't have melatonin :(. Since its not lucrative no one is bothering to check its safety (must be inspected before placed on the counter in Canada).
