Could I have a list of supplements good for the liver?

I'm starting to get my folks into healthier stuff, and I never realized how much tylenol they used, so now I'm worried and would like to give them something to repair the liver.

Thanks for the info.

My understanding is that Milk Thistle only makes an insignificant difference in liver reparation.

Can anyone confirm this?

wasnt there once a product called Tyler's liver detox that was supposed to be great?

ALA is a good liver supplement

A short list:

1. Inositol is the common name of myoinositol. Inositol is readily absorbed and used to produce the active inositides as necessary. The various forms of inositol (phosphatidylinositol and inositides such as IP3) are active in cell-to-cell communication, including the transmission of nerve impulses. Tissues that are affected include the brain, liver and muscles. Inositol is an indirect source of glucose and glucoronic acid, which is essential to detoxification by the liver.

2. Silymarin (Milk Thistle) is composed of three flavonoids: Primarily Silybin and minor amounts of Silydianin and Silychristin, which support liver function by raising protective glutathione levels.

3. Dandelion Root

4. Zinc and Selenium especially if using T3.

5. alpha-Lipoic Acid

6. Licorice root (best if combined in some sort of liver support formula).

I guess that does it from the peanut gallery.
