I've always wondered this too. If someone busts into my house thru a door I am gonna start firing bullets at them. Do they have to announce they are cops or something?

yes they can, probable cause plus you were running away (might be a crime depending and where).
Btw no-knock warrants are not issued on a daily basis. Too much problem for a PD to enforce it (ERT/SWAT needs to do the job, expensive....). They do it for high profile or if they feel the evidence might be lost while knocking the door (common for drug lab busts).

if some joe runs into your house, thats your fault for not locking the door....besides that point, if its in plain view that you are smoking up, yeah he can bust you as well...
a cop can pursue someone based on the fleeing felon law...and if the felon runs into your house, cop will pursue the felon until apprehended....

If they did not SEE the driver of the car actually go into the house,
would they still have Probable Cause enough to actually do a no knock
and bust the door ?
I say no and that they would still knock, as this exact scenario has happened many times before and the driver had parked and ran elsewhere.
Reasonable Suspicion would allow them an exterior yard search and a knock interior search investigation.
