cottage cheese post workout

Hey guy's, i know most people use a whey protein shake post workout, im changing my training time from 4:30pm to 6am, and was thinking of having a shake and flax oil before i hit the gym, then having a tub of cottage cheese and a couple of bananas straight after my workout, does this sound ok?
Cheers.

have the bannana and flax oil before you lift, make sure your drinking a shake afterward. You can have the cottage cheese with the shake if you want.

Cottage cheese is a very slow absorbing protein. This is not the type of protein that you want to take in post workout. You want an extremely high absorbing protein (whey) after spiking your insulin (dextrose) post workout. Cottage cheese is best for a meal right before going to bed.

I suggest staying away from fructose or any other simple sugar (except dextrose/maltodextrin) post workout. Dextrose and maltodextrin spike your insulin for proper glycogen replenishment in your muscles. Fructose and other simple sugars do spike your insulin but send the protein to both your muscles and fat.

I'd make sure to have a whey shake post workout, with about three good scoops in it. I even take a shaker cup to the gym with me so i can mix one up and drink it on the way home. Fast absorbing protein is a must early post-workout.

However, I do like the idea of eating the cottage cheese when you get home. I assume you are either going to work or school after your workout, which means that it'll be tough to ingest your protein at a regular schedule during the day. the slow releasing protein in cottage cheese will help to level your intake out over the course of the day.

Thanks for the replies guy's, i will definatly have the shake post workout, my only problem is i will be leaving the gym and going to work, and my first meal break is about 2 1/4 hours after i have my shake, is this too long or should i try and get more food into me before this, also should i have something before i hit the gym my routine i was planning is like this.
5.30am get up
6.00am gym
7.15am shake
9.30 first meal break
12.00 lunch
2.30 afternoon break
4.30 finish work, have a shake
6.00pm Tea
8.30 pm cottage cheese,
9.00 - 9.30 bed

so what do you think something before i hit the gym, and is the 2 hour gap post work out too long?
Any help really appreciated, as i said i have always trained at about 4.30 pm after work, and it seemed easier to plan my meals,
but i want to start training in the morning so i have more time with my family in the evening, once again thanks guy's.
