Cost of doing a sperm count?

Does it cost anything? Also, how many cycles would it take to become completely sterile? I ask because I also have vericose veins in my testes which might affect my future plans of having a kid, so I'm a little bit worried.

If you are concerned about future fertility issues, I am not quite sure steroids should be an option. The problem is, that the suppression and depression of the hypothalamus and pituitary with only one cycle can lead to infertility.

If you think this might be a problem for you, see a medical doctor, as surgical removal of the varicocele improves sperm level and function in 70% of the cases.

BTW: A routine semen analysis cost betwwen $75-$125 while a Specialized Semen Test (including sperm function testing) can range from $100-$300
