Cooking question

I am trying to make hashbrowns.. i put the potatoes in the pan but I always burn the shit out of them.. how do I just brown them? What oil do I need to use, if any? What temp should I put it on? Med, low, high?

I'm doing it on a stove and I don't cook w/ butter.. I hate butter
 
take the fucking things cut them up half inch sqaures no bigger.boil them till they are a bit soft but not falling apart about 5-10 mins.then run them under cold watter till they are cold and they stop cooking themselfs.put them in a big mixing bowl throw some melted butter on them so they are all wet with butter but no more.then add garlic seasoning salt and pepper to taste.fry them up on med-high heat................"do not over
mix them well you are cooking them" cook them a few mins them stir then repeat till golden brown on all sides.
 
Olive Oil or Smart Balance as your oil.. get the oil to the point where it just spits when hit with water..

turn to med

Add potates until brown, flip... brown..

fuck that you want it healthy use butter made from flax seed oil."smart ballance" makes a good kind you can get it any were.

I'll try that.. My hate for butter is not only of health reasons but an article I read once.. disgusting stuff
 
get the oil hot BEFORE you put the potatos in and don't flip em until golden brown on one side. Med heat. Use enough oil so they are crispy.

Me too.. some of my meals are so fat adverse... that I have to add fat throught the day... healthy fats... PB and Almond Butter are two good ways to get some good fats in without choking on some bullshit like flax oil...

that'll make a billy goat puke...
