Cooking Barley

Any recipes for cooking barley?
would you just use it in place of rice?

i've never used barley, but my guess is preparing it would be very similar to rice

It is similar to cooking rice. Its pretty bland tasting. You can spice it up by cooking it in beef brouth[sp]
