Converting IU's to CC's! Help please!!!

OK
a CC or ML is a measure of quantity/volume
IU or MG is strength or dosage. If , as I suspect, your trying to figure out how to administer HCG for instance and you have an amp that is 10000 IU and you want 5000 IU, then after mixing the solution with the sterile water you would draw halfe the solution regardless of volume (CC) to get 5000 IU. Does that help?

So 1cc of HCG can contain as little as 2500 IU or as much as 10000 IU.

if you take an insulin needle which has 100 ius, this equals 1ml or cc of liquid..realistically you cant convert

No Kidding. For the record, each drug has it's own individual concentration.IU is just a fom of measurement, much like mg(like with testosterone) or units(like with insulin).Do some research befoe you go shooting up something you know so little about. You could accidentally OD on advice myself,or some other clown gives you.My advice would be a simple nursing drug book.It has all the info on the drugs, how to give them, how to calculate the doses and how to convert between different systems.worth the $20.00 you'll pay.

It depends on the concentration of the drug or supplement product. If the product is 10000iu per 1cc then 5000iu would be 0.5cc. If the product is 10000iu per 5cc, then 5000iu would be 2.5cc. The same with tablets. If the product is 100mg per 1 tablet, then 50mg would be 0.5 (one-half) tablet. If you will post the concentration of the product that you are wanting to use, along with the amount of iu's you are wanting to inject, I can tell you exactly.

ok, I have Hcg for my post cycle, it's called Pregnyl. It says 10,000 USP units/vial. Does that help? If it helps, what is a good way to use this stuff safely?
Thanks.

Dammit! that's what I was trying to say, but couldn't articulate it very well. Plus I got confused as usual :D

You forgot to tell me how many cc's (ml's) were in the vial, and how much you wanted to use. Okay, I went to the Organon web site. According to them, you should have two 10cc vials, one with dry powder, one with a liquid solvent (saline with benzyl alcohol). You are supposed to transfer the solvent to the powder vial and mix. Once you do that you should have a vial of HCG with 10,000 units in 10cc of liquid. For hypogonadotropic males, Organon recommends anywhere from 1000 to 4000 units 3 times weekly. That would be 1cc to 4cc, 3 times weekly. You had mentioned 5000 units in your first post, which would be 5cc. Does this make sense? If not, I will be glad to clarify.

Awsome pencilneck! thanks for the help. I finally get it!
But your positive 1000 units is 1 cc? So it would be ok to take 4000 units (4 cc) in one shot to boost my natural test back up then start my clomid to keep my gains?

If you have the same setup that Organon describes in their literature, after mixing you should end up with a 10ml vial containing 10,000 units of Pregnyl (HCG). That would mean 1000 units per 1ml. Yes, 4cc (4000 units) is an approved dose. You would still have 6cc (6000 units) left (after mixing, you have to keep it refrigerated and use within 60 days). Maybe another injection of 4000 units after 3 to 5 days?

As BigWhitey said, however, this is the way accidents happen. Mr.Pinass was smart enough to ask first, many new people are not. There was a nimrod posting a while back who was confused trying to use a regular syringe for insulin. He was about to fire up a cc of humalog........lights out for good. It depends on what drug you are using, for example, 1 cc of GH makes only 18iu, and most would divide that into 4 shots.

Glad to help, Mr_Pincushonass. If you want to use solidspine's recommendation, you could use 4cc 1st week, then 3cc 2nd week, 3cc 3rd week. No waste that way. Good luck. Hope you had a great cycle.
