It seems to have helped my balance I have real problems with it always my sticking point on squat I get down the topelle forward when I close to failure.

Question - when you do a full squat ass to floor with feet shoulder width apart do your heels come off the ground? Do you have to lean way forward to keep your balance?

I used to rock them all the time 'til a bunch of schmuck hipsters started wearing them, then I stopped for like 2 years, but I recently started wearing them again. I love them.

:lmao: @ punky bruster.
I had a pair of Converse as a kid. Good sneaker.

My heels do come off the floor or at least did I really have to think about it. Tonight I was pretty good made all my reps only went to fall forward on the last one.

Mine do too in regular shoes. Do you ever squat with a couple of plates under your heels? Olympic shoes eliminate the need for that because the heel is a wooden wedge.

No but Shadown had mentioned that I try that to maybe next work out. I am kind paranoid I have a bad ankel from basketball and the angel like that scares me.

That's a hamstring weakness. I had that too (the leaning forward to keep balance) and it was holding back my squat big-time. I've been blasting my hams especially the last 3 months of last year and although I still sometimes have to lean forward a little, it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

I fixed it with a combination of heavy ham work, and starting with much lower weights on squats, going atf, sitting back and having almost all of the weight on my heels, and working back up from there.

I squat and DL in Converse All Stars too, but the really old white ones.

I squat in Chucks too, but I squat wide stance. Narrow stance, I'm not sure they're as good.
My stance is very wide I could give birth from that postion. LOL Maybe I will get Tweakle to video some of my squats next week.
