Contributing to soft bones

PBR

A friend of mine whom Ive trained with for years just had back surgery...Lumbar,3 levels...DR. said that while he was in there, he found alot of arthritis, spurs and soft bone...flaking during proceedure...my friend has been chewing" COPE" for 25 years...he has also partaken in the use of AAS over the years...We know that tobacco weakens bones, as does lack of estrogen....Are AAS contrbuting to this condition? or is it that when you supress the estrogen levels over long periods or short periods for that matter, the major factor???

I don't think excercise can have caused problems in his bones. Even if he did a proper use of AAS should not have had any problem.

Im sure genetics also plays a big part in his problems also. And as long as he didnt go buck wild as DJUFO said its not the AS's fault.

One of the uses of Deca is for certain bone softening disorders if I remember my pharmacology class right. I think I once saw a label from reforvit-B online on one of the boards and its translation included "for improving the retention of calcium (retencio de calcio)... and in certain types of osteoporosis (y en ciertos tipos de osteoporosis)".
