Contrast showers

I have a question about contrast showers.

I was thinking of using these for my back and leg workouts as this is where recovery is the biggest issue.

I was wondering whether anyone used them and found them of assistance.

If so what protocol did you use? Did u target the muscle exercised only or the entire body?

I used to use them. Although I never really targeted a specific muscle, I just rinsed my entire body.

I did as hot as I possibly could stand them for some time and once I felt too warm I turned it down to as cold as I could possibly stand it until I got too cold. After a couple rounds, your body will be able to handle more and more extreme temperatures. I've heard the more extreme temps are better...hot and freezing vs warm and cold. I also heard always end on cold...

Once you're done you will feel very refreshed.

When I'm too nervous, stressed out or anxious I do these and always end with a cold shot. One thing it works too and for recovery as well is a bath with hot water and epsom salt a few times a week. Deep tissue self-massage it works wonders too @ least legs can be easily reached for complete massage, i use tiger balm for cooling effect and reducing friction, i swear that it even dissolves knots from the anabolic injections.
