Contest preppers, low carbs diets, how do ya guys do it???

For the last few days I have been pissed off with the lack of progress ( fat loss ) and the amount of water I have been holding so I tried some lower than normal carb days ( around 225g ) and have been stupid and hell and can barely get my as out of the f*ing way. Wow, I hope contest day comes real f*ing quick. Any Comments- Help!!!
 
cold water helps buts its truly mental and being tough. eat a couple of almonds to help but note only a couple. i also "cheat" with sugar free italian ices and they help. again its mind control. eat the carbs in the am and through mid day and your cravings will be less at night.
 
It's all self-control like Flexed said.

Try some 5-htp (50mgs, 1 cap) at around 6pm, It should help cut your carb cravings a bit.

But remember, this game ain't easy bro, Dieting is hard - Deal with it. Conquer it, feel your own Power.
 
Very lean Red meat and green beans every night with a teaspoon of flax and a tablespoon of peanut butter before bed

2. What % bf are you now?
3. How much do you weigh?
4. Are you doing any cardio?
5. What fat burners are you taking?
 
Contest dieting is the toughest thing i have ever had to do. I would cycle the carbs between low days and high days and if your metablosim is fast enough and you started your diet long enough away you can have a cheat meal once a week.

I found that this helps me through it.

I started Crum's diet begining of Jan. My shows aren't until 20APR and 11 May. I'm gonna post my updates on the diet dissusion board though. I've gone from 12% to 10% and my next BF test is next Monday. I intend to be stricter this time around in order to do less cardio.
 
I think that 225g of carbs is a bit to high! Under 50g daily I feel like shit, so I target between 100g-150g max. Having a younger brother and sister at home doesn't help either with all the damn treats/snacks they have laying around :D so I suggest you use an ECA stack through out the day and for those carb cravings eat some beef jerky or some peanuts, not as good as a snickers bar but will definitely help you. All mental, all mental!:p
 
These 600g of carbs are killiing me. I feel so energetic and capable of lifting a house not to mention the feeling of well being:) God bless BULKING. I feel you, though, jersey boy. Once I get down to 150g a day it takes every ounce of my being to crawl out of bed and usually I have to urge to rip most anyones face off. ECA certainly helps during this time, but I'm gifted with crippling anxiety so I'm prescribed Xanax and Buspar, which although they do little for energy, they certainy make things bearable.
 
At 8% 8 weeks out you're probably ok. That equates to roughly 10 lbs of fat you will want to loose if you want to go in around 5%.
1. How many times a day are you doing ECA? Three, maybe 4x a day for someone your size is probably good. Also, you many want to rotate out the ECA with something else for a couple days (MD6, MetRx Thermicore CRT, etc). I burnt out on ECA after taking it for a while.
2. Are you doing your cardio in the AM on an empty stomach? I've also had luck doing AM lifting on an empty stomach but only with body parts like abs, calves, and arms.
3. I don't know what anabolics you're taking so this may be way off, but your calories at this point should probably be around 2600. (Will need to lower later) Lower your carbs to about 20-25% of calories and jack the protein.
